School-wide Goals
1. Provide a safe, organized, and disciplined learning environment
where all students have the opportunity to grow to their potential.
2. Be nominated and receive the California State Distinguished School
Award
3. Be nominated and receive the National Blue Ribbon School Award,
4. Receive no less than a "Superior" rating on any Clovis
Unified event in the accountability model; "CLASSI."
Student Testing Goals
1. No less than 75% of all Riverview Elementary School students shall
be on grade-level in Reading, Language, and Mathematics as measured
by State and District tests.
2. No less than 90% of all Riverview Elementary School students shall
meet District and State standards on the District Physical Performance
Testing.
Discipline Goals
1. Create and maintain a disciplined learning environment where students
are safe and demonstrate appropriate behavior and positive attitudes.
2. Reduce the number of office referrals for disciplinary reasons
each quarter of the school year.
3. Receive no less than 95% "A"'s and "B"s on
the Parent SART Surveys in the area of "grade the fairness with
which your child is treated" at school.
4. Receive no less than 95% "A"s and "B"s on
the Parent SART Surveys in the area of school safety.
Parent and Community Involvement and Support
1. No less than 90% of all students shall be represented at Back-to-School
Night and Open House.
2. Every classroom shall have no less than two parent volunteers
who assist in the classroom or at the school during each quarter.
3. Receive no less than 95% "A"s and "B"s on
the Parent SART Surveys in the area of "grade the quality"
of the school.
4. No less than 100 parents shall attend any student performance
or event.
Student Participation
1. Maintain and improve on all co-curricular programs while seeking
to involve as many students as possible.
2. Have at least 95% of all fourth through sixth graders involved
in at least one co-curricular activity during the school year.
3. Provide at least four major events or activities in which first
through third graders may participate.
4. Develop and maintain excellent sportsmanship and team spirit regardless
of win-loss records.
Student Attendance
1. Maintain an excused absence rate of no less than 98% for each
classroom.
2. Refer to the School Attendance Review Board (SARB) any student
who exceeds 9 absences in a semester so as to insure appropriate attendance
at school.
3. Work to insure that parents understand, request and utilize "independent
study contracts"
